Arabica from Papua New Guinea is a high-quality, balanced single origin, often descended from the famous Jamaican Blue Mountain variety.
Key characteristics
Taste: complex, smooth, balanced. Often sweetish fruit notes (citrus, berries, blackcurrant) and hints of chocolate, caramel or nuts.
Acidity and bitterness: a light, pleasant acidity (berry, citrus) that pairs well with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste.
Aroma: bright and rich, with possible winey, almond, vanilla or fruit-and-caramel notes.
Growing: mostly high-grown (from 1500 m) on fertile volcanic soils.
Considered one of the finest plantation Arabicas in the world.
